How To Power Gratitude With Technology

Where I work holds a lot of people from different backgrounds and different industries. They come from all around the valley to do different kinds of work. I love meeting entrepreneurs, business people, creative professionals and innovators. It is a dream job to wake up every morning to go to work, knowing that I might meet someone interesting that could change your life forever.

Every so often, collaborations and discussions are continually going on in the space. Individuals who don't know each other are lending a hand to help each other out, and most of the time, the good gesture returns with a simple thanks. But what if we can create a system that can help everyone in the community reward each other, instead of just thanks?

Imagine that you are a member of the community. Every month, you will receive three tokens to give out. Now the system will always check whether you have any available tokens left before the transfer happens. Every token will expire by the end of the month if it is not given out.

The next step is to transfer the tokens. Receiving a token is one thing, but it would be pointless if the member on the receiving end does not know about it. So a beautiful and animated email will be sent to him with the appreciation note. The token received will also expire over time.

By having this system in place, we are hoping to have the community reward and appreciate each other over and over again, so that collaboration and initiatives can be sustainable to enrich the value of the community further.
